Hollywood fans can now learn about local happenings on Facebook and share their comments, photos and videos. Twitter keeps users updated on the latest Hollywood news, upcoming events, celebrity sightings, hotel deals and restaurant specials. "HOLLYWOOD REVEALED" IN PHOTO COLLECTION—Renowned fine art photographer Alan S. Maltz, named Florida's Official Fine Art Photographer by VISIT FLORIDA and Official Wildlife Photographer by the Wildlife Foundation of Florida, recently completed a comprehensive shoot in the City of Hollywood. With a keen appreciation of Hollywood’s natural beauty and visitor appeal, Maltz was excited for the City to be the subject of his most recent photo shoot. His breathtaking images capture the spirit and essence of our destination, from its many natural assets to its cultural and historical significance. The stunning "Hollywood Revealed" collection will be featured in the Hollywood Office of Tourism's new Vacation Planner and website redesign. DOGS OF SUMMER AT ART AND CULTURE CENTER—The Art and Culture Center of Hollywood will present "The Dogs of Summer" festival June 20-21, 2009, at the ArtsPark at Young Circle to coincide with two dog-themed art exhibitions running at the Center June 19 - August 16, including "Tillamook Cheddar Mid-Career Retrospective 1999-2009." Tillamook "Tillie" Cheddar, a Brooklyn-based Jack Russell Terrier, is widely regarded as the world's pre-eminent canine artist. Tillie will make special appearances at the Center's opening reception June 19 and at "The Dogs of Summer," where she will demonstrate how she creates her expressionistic images. Other highlights include sidewalk art, children's activities, K-9 demonstrations, live music, pet-related presentations and a blessing of the animals. The second Center exhibition, "It's a Dog's Life," features contemporary artwork from the private collection of Francie Bishop Good and David Horvitz.
