Hollywood is an eco-friendly paradise rich in outdoor adventure, from scenic bicycle trails and eco-walks to full-moon kayaking and nighttime guided sea turtle excursions. A full range of activities to satisfy all interests includes fishing, diving, snorkeling, jet skiing, parasailing, hiking and bird-watching in a preserved wildlife sanctuary, and canoeing or kayaking along paddling trails just a short walk from the seashore.

HOLLYWOOD BEACH EARNS FODOR’S "FAMILY BEACH" DESIGNATION—Hollywood Beach has earned a "Fodor's Designation" as a choice family beach, one of seven such beaches in Florida to earn the honor. To be considered, beaches must have picnic areas, showers, lifeguards and sand suitable for building great sandcastles, all attributes that appeal to families. Having a playground area and being a site for annual festivals or events were not required but worth bonus points. Hollywood Beach scored a jackpot on the event bonus, with a number of annual festivals scheduled throughout the year. Information: www.visithollywoodfl.org
