DAVID HACKETT AS EXECUTIVE CHEF

HOLLYWOOD, FL (October 2008) - The Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa, 3555 S. Ocean Dr., Hollywood, FL has appointed David Hackett as Executive Chef. Hackett brings over 30-years of top level culinary experience to the resorts 1,000,000+ annually served guests.

Prior to join The Westin Diplomat, Hackett was the Executive Chef for several larger prestigious resorts including WESTIN CHARLOTTE, Charlotte, NC, HYATT PIER 66 and BAHIA MAR BEACH RESORT, Ft. Lauderdale, DORAL GOLF RESORT & SPA and the RENAISSANCE MIAMI Biscayne Bay HOTEL both in Miami. Additionally he had the illustrious opportunity to be the Executive Chef opening the 5 Diamond boutique hotel MANSION OF FORSYTH PARK and the intimate bed & breakfast KEHOE HOUSE, both located in the serene Savannah, GA.

Currently Chef Hackett is responsible for the overall food quality in The Westin Diplomat's seven dining outlets, in-room dining and both social and group banquet services for over 200,000 sq ft of convention and meeting space. Additionally he maintains corporate compliance, menu development and costing, food cost control, productivity management and development of staff.
